NOTD: French Manicure with Ribbons & Gold

NOTD ribbon and gold
Please s'cuse my big hands.

Picked up a few little nail decorations at Daiso earlier in the day, yesterday, and did this manicure in the evening. The beads are a little off now since I fell asleep while the nails were still drying (I had applied mass amounts of top coat). Also, I only finished my left hand. Haha~ Still have to do the right... but this is usually where I get kind of lazy if it's not just a simple one color manicure.

Does anyone have tips on how to shape your nails? If you couldn't tell, this was my first attempt at shaping my nails and oh boy, I have no idea how. :)

  1. Hi hi! :D

3 things: 1) I have no idea how either! I'm always relying on the manicurist to do it. =\ 2) Your NOTD's so freaking cute! I really love the red bow. Reminds me of Minnie Mouse...hee hee. *^_^* and 3) Daiso really needs to open up a store here! Grrr....

This is the scarf I got at the Gap:

They have a plainer version but I couldn't resist the small gold flecks in this. ;) It's also nice and long. Sign up for Gap emails if you haven't already! They seem to pick random days for their one day only 40% off sales. @_@

    Hope your weekend's going well!

  2. Hope you're right about them expanding and moving south to SoCal. *crosses fingers* Oh yeah, good food + friends/family = A FAB WEEKEND! =D Mine was good. I met a friend for lunch today at a vegetarian restaurant (I haven't stepped foot in one in years) and it was actually pretty darn good....lol.

  4. I know, me too!! I wish I knew Heather Graham's secret...haha! It's become a tradition for us to watch The Hangover before hitting up Vegas...lol. XD

Rice for flour? What'd that taste like? Hee hee. ;D I was like you. I had a friend with it so I was always going over and baking goodies with her! Regarding your q, the weird part is that while I do bake the occasional brownie it's not very often. I think it's b/c 1) I never got to *hone* my skills on an Easy-Bake oven :giggles: and 2) I have no KitchenAid mixer! (Seriously, how does one bake without this?!)

    Have a great Thanksgiving, Lora!!!
